ABOUT THE SPARTANS

4xWNFC IX CUP CHAMPIONS

We are not just a football team. We are a movement.

The Texas Elite Spartans were co-founded by football legends and trailblazers Odessa and Elizabeth Jenkins with one bold purpose, to set a new standard for what it means to be a professional women’s football team. Built on excellence, fueled by heart, and driven by the desire to make history, the Spartans have become one of the most dominant forces in women’s football.

Since launching in 2018, we’ve built more than a team, we’ve built a dynasty. Our record speaks for itself, but our mission runs deeper than the scoreboard.

  • 2018 – Undefeated | IWFL / Best of the West Champions

  • 2019 – Undefeated | WNFC Champions

  • 2021 – Undefeated | WNFC Champions

  • 2022 – Undefeated | WNFC Champions

  • 2023 – Undefeated | WNFC Champions

  • 2024 – WNFC Western Conference Champions

But numbers only tell part of the story.
Our players are warriors on the field, and leaders in the world. Off the field, they are educators, healthcare providers, first responders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. They wear many hats, but every single one wears the Spartan shield with pride.

We train, compete, and show up with one goal: to represent the power, potential, and passion of women in football. Every rep, every hit, every win is about more than a game, it’s about proving that greatness knows no gender.

The Spartans are operated by a powerful board of leaders including Amy Ashkinazy-Murrell, and Dominica Spain, all guided by the wisdom of former players, elite coaches, and a tight-knit family of dedicated volunteers.

Leading us on the sidelines is Head Coach Odessa Jenkins, the winningest coach in women’s tackle football history, with an unmatched career record of 82-4.

For the 2025 season, the Spartans will take the field at Coppell Middle School West in Coppell, TX. And we can promise you this, it won’t just be football. It’ll be electric.

This is our story. This is our standard.
